Fujairah Engineering Co. LLC. (FECO) was established in 2004 as an engineering company for the purpose of constructing a Petroleum Products Bulk Storage Facility for BP Global Investments Co. LLC, a wholly owned BP company. The principals of FECO have an established presence in the UAE for over 20 years in the following fields:
- Industrial & Marine Engineering
- Ship Agency and Husbandry Services
- Sub Sea Engineering
- Oil Spill Response Services
- Ship Owning and Management
- Oil Trading and Bunkering
FECO was the main Subcontractor of Fujairah Marine Services & Trading Co. LLC. of Fujairah, U.A.E., who had been awarded the construction of the BP Petroleum Products Bulk Storage and Bunkering Facility inside the Port of Salalah in Southern Oman. The Main Phase of the project took 18 months to construct and the facility went on stream in June 2005. Upon completion of the Main Phase which included the construction of bulk storage tanks of total capacity of 105,000.00 cubic meters FECO was awarded as the main contractor to BP Global Investments the construction of an additional 8,000 cubic meters storage tank that was completed in September 2006.
FECO in May 2006 added the activity of tank farm management on its trading license for the purpose of biding for the management of the BP facility in Salalah. The same was awarded to FECO IN June 2006 for five years and therefore FECO increased its manpower accordingly in order to undertake this additional activity.
